prettiness found here
This curated group of images could not have been created without the amazingly talented photographers, stylists, florists, caterers and of course, my stunningly beautiful clients.
how does this work?
The calligraphy process includes lots of emailing, a detailed design meeting or phone chat (or several), proposal write-up, deposit mailing to secure event date, a proofing process (for printed work only), more emailing, etc.
For project inquiries, each quote is written individually (this means no price list). For a more specific price quote + quicker response, please include as much of the following information as possible.
Event Type and Date
Projects required. Envelope Addressing? Invitation suite? Place cards? Etc.
Number of guests attending (your best guess is perfect).
Colors or Project theme. Links to Pinterest boards are great!
Do you already have paper, envelopes, etc? If so, what type?
Date of completion
Whitney here (middle name Rose)! I have been scribbling pretties since 2011. I began studying calligraphy during an afterwork class and, to be honest, I was not a fan! I found it to be monotonous and not befitting my personality at all. My teacher Victoria Johnson told me that I should stick with it and attend her next class on copperplate. I obliged and this time, I loved it! This new class offered a style that had just enough freedom and restraint to keep me occupied and coming back for more. Rosey Calligraphy did not come to fruition until after I had designed my own wedding and was featured on a few blogs. The inquiries began to come in and I thought... I'd better get it together and TA-DA! Rosey Calligraphy!
Thank you for visiting my little spot on the internet and please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions on projects, pricing, etiquette or just to be friends! I work with clients all over the world and am available for local in-person meetings as well as skype or phone conversations.
On a personal note, I recently moved back to my hometown, Sonora, CA (northwest of Yosemite) with my husband Lucas, our daughters Vivian and Mara, and a labradoodle named Bruna. See my instagram feed to see their latest shenanigans as well as my most current work!
NOT TAKING ANY 2018 WEDDINGS!
